In a new interview with the largest Polish news resource onet.pl, Marianna Tkalich, Director of the Rating Lab, spoke about the results of the latest research, which surveyed 2116 respondents from 31 countries. Here are some highlights from the interview.

Ms. Tkalych answered the question of who is now leaving Ukraine as refugees. "Most people left immediately after the invasion began. Gradually, the number of people leaving the country is decreasing. Now these are more conscious, meaningful decisions. In the beginning, people did not think about where they were going and why. Now it is a conscious action. The war is still going on. The shelling continues. Now people are leaving who have realized that the war will not last for several months. Ukrainians, for example, who thought that their territories would be liberated soon, were waiting, but now they realize that this may not happen soon, and they no longer have the strength to live like this. Zaporizhzhia region, for example, is 60 percent occupied. In addition to security, there is also the issue of education."

How do Ukrainian refugees live, how do they assess their host country? "Ukrainians in Western Europe are positive about the level of wages, civil liberties and social protection. Compared to their homeland, medical care is worse. In Ukraine, you can make an appointment with a doctor and see him or her on the same day. In Europe, you have to wait several months," explains Marianna Tkalich. In addition, surveys show that most expats value beauty services, cafes, and restaurants in their own country more highly.
